Heavy duty areas
ACO offers packaged solutions for the drainage and stormwater management of heavy duty areas.
Our products are effective for the collection, treatment, storage, lifting, discharge and reuse of surface water.
Stormwater attenuation for safey
During heavy rainfalls, a massive amount of stormwater may accumulate on the ground, which must be collected, stored and treated efficiently. The ACO Qmax system is able to provide optimum surface water drainage and attenuation for this scenario.
Before entering municipal pipe networks or rivers, stormwater needs to be cleaned, and then pumped to normal drainage level via a lifting system.
Heavy-duty traffic
When designing heavy-duty surfaces, particular attention must be paid to the abnormal loads the areas are subjected to. Huge dynamic loads and lateral forces together with hundreds of crushing per day place more demands on the stability and durability of product. ACO DRAINĀ® Monoblock which is a one-piece polymer concrete drainage system with no adhesive joints, is a perfect solution to this case.
Easy clean and maintenance
Heavy-duty traffic, cargo transfer as well as discharge operation can produce significant amounts of dust and dirt. As a result, stain resistance must be considered in the design of drainage system. It is always important to achieve easy clean and maintenance to save time and cost.
Stormwater collection
One-piece line drainage system designed for heavy-duty areas
The ACO Monoblock is a drainage system with a monolithic design: the channel and cover are produced from polymer concrete in one casting. The result is an extremely stable unit without loose parts, and there is no need for bonded joints. The polymer concrete material can withstand extremely high loads and stresses, is durable and wear resistant, which makes the Monoblock system have particularly long lifespan. Also, it can protect against vandalism. All these features make it particularly useful for road transverse drainage.
The ACO Qmax system adopts innovative egg-shaped profile design with unobtrusive continuous slot inlet. With the installation in concrete slab, it can support load classes up to and including F900. In heavy duty areas, it can not only guarantee durability and low maintenance work, but also reduce grating vibrations and noise efficiently, making it an ideal solution for heavy-duty traffic.
Stormwater storage and attenuation
Stormbrixx is suitable for:
- retaining rainwater
- storing rainwater
- attenuating infiltration
Unlike tradition solutions, transport cost of Stormbrixx is lower thanks to its stackable body elements, thus reducing CO2 emissions. The space demand in warehouse and construction site can be reduced by more than half as well.
Due to open structure, ACO Stormbrixx systems are fully inspectable and uniquely easy to install and maintain.
